March 14th - IBB Miami

 FBBF @ IBB
17701 NW 57th Avenue - Miami, Florida 33055
MIAMI:

The Rules are different here.

Several years ago, that was the pitch for South Florida tourism, and for many, that probably holds true.  However, the rules for hosting pastors are the same everywhere:  Good food, challenging preaching and real fellowship - the verb.

WE ARE HERE TO SERVE YOU
God has blessed us with a great group of people that will do their very best to serve you in any way they can. If there is anything you need, please call me at (786) 525-6468.

IF YOU NEED A HOTEL
If you wish to stay in the area, I would highly recommend PRICELINE.COM
Under “Name Your Own Price” put in Miramar, FL (#8).  In the past few weeks we have been able to get a
3 star hotel for a bid of only $65.

If you will make the drive, we will strive to make it worth it!

We invite ALL MISSIONARIES to set up display areas at this meeting.

10:00 a.m. - Officer's Meeting
11:00 a.m. - First Speaker - Pastor Kevin Hale - East Pointe Church Jacksonville
11:45 a.m. - Second Speaker - Pastor Frank Cerisi - University Baptist Church - Jacksonville

Special Note: Since this meeting is held on Valentines Day, here is a great opportunity for you preachers to gain some "love points" with your spouse!
One Ocean Resort is a gorgeous new 5 star hotel on the ocean in Atlantic Beach.  Just two miles from the church.  Jax Metro Church used to meet in this building, and they are offering some great rates for either Sunday night (Feb 13th) or Monday night (Feb. 14th).

Remember guys,  this is a 5 star ocean front, so don't be stingy.  Rates are $179 for an ocean view without a balcony, and $199 for an ocean front with a balcony.  There is also a $25 charge for all of your room goodies, coffee etc. during your stay, and $15 parking if you park at the hotel.  There is generally lots of public parking close to the building.  I am very familiar with this hotel, and there is nothing like it in the entire Jacksonville area.  Your wife will LOVE it!

Blessings!
Dan Pride, Lead Pastor

Mrs. Sunshine Report - Volume 1 - January 2011

Ladies, As we begin a new year in our homes and churches, I thought it would be nice to try to stay more connected through our own little newsletter. If you would like to announce or share something with the other ladies in the fellowship, you can email it toMrsFLSunshine@juno.com. We would like to hear ideas for ladies groups, Bible studies you have used, banquet ideas, mission’s conference themes, etc. Some of you ladies have “been there, done that” and you are a fountain of knowledge. Some are “new” to the ministry and may have questions or new ideas to share. I know with many of us having jobs and/or children at home it is not always convenient to attend the monthly fellowship meetings. I pray you will try to come as often as possible, but also hope this newsletter will draw us closer in spirit.
May God bless you and your ministry in 2011. Pam Jeffers

Meet… Pam Jeffers I was born into a pastor’s home so the ministry was not a foreign concept to me, but I never pictured myself as the “pastor’s wife”. I attended Baptist Bible College (class of ‘79) where I met Dan, a youth major. Why did I not “know” that the youth ministry usually leads to the pastorate?!? God has led us around Florida - from Largo, to Orlando, to Lakeland and now to St. Petersburg. Each ministry has taught us something and we are still learning. God blessed us with 3 children who are saved, active in church and seeking God’s will for their lives. Our two grandchildren, Haleigh (4) and Logan (1) are a joy to have near and spoil.

(We would like to profile a pastor’s wife each month, so send your information & picture)
I Timothy 1:12 “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry”

Check out www.juliabettencourt.com for some helps to a more creative ladies ministry.

Prayer Requests Bill and Charlotte Bales in Mexico January 14 - 27. Connor Carlson was in hospital with pneumonia. John & Sharon Richardson’s daughter, Becky, will have surgery for breast cancer on January 21st or 28th. Joyce Taylor with the passing of her husband, Bill. ****email your requests to MrsFLSunshine@juno.com****

The February Meeting is in Jacksonville on Valentine’s Day. It would be great if you and your husband could spend the day at the meeting with friends and the evening together. So check out the area hotels and plan a date.
For God so loVed the world that He gAve His onLy begotten Son, that whosoEver believeth iN Him shall noT perIsh, but have everlastiNg lifE. Won’t you be Mine? -God-
